Teacher Training & Certification
Teacher certification in the Movement Mentor® Adaptive Dance curriculum is available for schools with existing adaptive dance programs or for those who wish to start their own program.
Teachers who wish to learn more about teaching students of varying abilities, either for an adaptive dance class or for students in a mainstream class, can also benefit from the teacher training.
TWO TRAINING OPTIONS AVAILABLE
IN PERSON TRAINING
Our in-person training allows you to learn the Movement Mentor® adaptive dance method through direct, hands-on experience. You’ll participate in a live class, observing and engaging as it naturally unfolds, while our team offers real-time guidance and support. This immersive setting helps you build a deeper understanding and confidence in leading your own classes.
VIRTUAL TRAINING
We now offer virtual training! Learn the Movement Mentor® adaptive dance method from anywhere. Our course is accompanied with ‘live’ video footage of a Movement Mentor® class. Certifying teachers will see how a real class unfolds, accompanied by our team's live breakdown of all details. Sign up today for our first virtual training session on June 6th!
What to Expect

Each in-person training is thoughtfully designed to guide you step-by-step through the Movement Mentor® method. A certified instructor leads four hours of either in person or virtual instruction alongside one hour of class work, allowing you to actively apply what you’re learning.
You’ll participate in a live class or trial workshop with prospective students, with real-time feedback and support to help you build confidence as you go.

Our team will walk you through live class footage, breaking down what’s happening moment by moment. You’ll gain practical insight into how to lead with clarity, adaptability, and intention.

You’ll receive the complete program syllabus, along with any future updates as the method continues to grow.

$750 per teacher for either the in person training or the virtual training. This fee provides the training, resources upon training, and continual support and updates with maintenance of certification.
There is a $25 yearly fee for each certified teacher to maintain certification through completing an online renewal questionnaire.

Teachers will be contacted via email to “check in” yearly and complete a short, written evaluation to maintain certification.
